Don and Diane Mulder

We got some much anticipated guests over the past few days. We hosted Don & Diane Mulder as they have been traveling across this great country of ours. They are such a special couple. Steve met them when he was serving in the military and stationed in Widbey Island, Washington. I heard the story about how they all met and it was touching. I am so glad that they were able to visit. Steve took a few days off work to be with them and it was just precious. Our kids were glad to have an extra set of grandparents around!


Here we all are after the big bar-b-que feast. We had a great time!


The first night of their stay we took them to one of our favorite eateries- The Triangle Resturant. The next day Steve, Don and Diane went on a motorcycle ride. What a blast they had. That night we invited some family members over to meet them and eat bar-b-q with us. We had a great meal and great conversation. Steve's dad, Bob, and Don were both linemen for electric companies (Don was recently retired) They were caught swapping stories all evening. It was funny!
Thursday morning, Don was ready to hit the road. So mid-morning they took off for the next stop on their journey.
We were so blessed to have them around. They have the ability to teach you so much just in their gentle ways.
Hopefully we will be able to travel to see them one day. Steve would love it and I really want to see the area he talks so much about.
